Hello

Hi all. Was reminded today that it’s been a while since I last wrote.

And it may continue to be. Working hard on a couple of projects, so time is short.

With that said, here’s some food for thought:

  1. Amazing how fast Peloton reacted to the Sex and the City killing of Mr. Big. Thought that was the greatest marketing coup of the past few years.
  2. Who in the hell would design a keyboard with the “Music Launch” button next to the delete button? Do you know how many times I launch the music app a day?
  3. When do you think Wawa will start doing surveys from their app when you purchase food or gas from them? (Instore or pickup) If you have an app, why not ask how the stores are doing that you frequent? Never understood why they get people to download an app, but there is no feedback button or surveys sent out. Walmart has started doing that — based on what you just did, i.e. it’s linked to your receipt and asks specific questions about the experience. BRILLIANT! Freaked my wife out, but, as a marketer, it was the right thing to do.

Okay, that’s it for now.

Talk to you in the new year.
